The UK RC Laser Class Association, and UK Standard Sailing Instructions will apply, these can be found at the UK RC Laser Web site
The event will be governed by the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing, 2017 - 2020, & Appendix E, the RC Laser Class Rules, and the UK RC Laser Standard Sailing Instructions 2019. Scoring (if flights required) will be done using Heat Management System (HMS latest version), hereafter referred to as RRS, for the remainder of the Sailing Instructions.
Any changes made to the Sailing Instructions will be posted on the Official Notice Board at Race Control.
Except for any start or finish marks, a boats hull or rigging may touch a mark of the course, provided that the mark has been rounded correctly as described by the course set. This varies RRS 31.
All skippers must be registered members of the UKRCLA, or relevant national bodies of their country, and are expected to comport themselves in a sportsmanlike manner at all times.
They must, individually, be insured with valid third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of £2,000,000 per event, or equivalent.
Competitors participate in the Regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, decision to race.
All boats will have to comply with the RC Laser Class Rules - version dated 7th June 2011, with current approved amendments up to August, 2012. All boats can be subject to compliance checks, to the Class Rules. Sail identification shall comply with the diagrams and guidance provided by the UKRCLA. This varies RRS E6.
All signals will be made from ashore, from Race Control; the race control will be adjacent to the race area rather than the club house.
Information for competitors regarding Race Areas, Marks, Courses to be sailed etc, will be advised verbally by the Race Officer, and clearly shown on the Official Course Board.
The Heat Management System (HMS) shall apply. A copy will be available at the Race Office.

o 1230-1700 - Skippers practice begins (may incur a day sailing fee) o 1400-1700 - Measurement and registration begins.

o 1045 - Skippers Briefing
o 1100 - First warning signal
o 1730 - No start after this time
o 1800 - Skippers BBQ, Quiz and Raffle Sunday 31st May 2020
o 0945 - Skipper Briefing
o 1000 - First warning signal
o 1530 - No start after this time
o Prize giving to follow ASAP after racing finishes
Catering- Lunch, Drinks and Snacks are available from the club throughout the day. A BBQ ticket will be included in the entry fee for skippers, additional tickets are available to purchase in advance.
